Don't forget to proofread your email subject line, not just your resume, cover letter

Job seekers will spend all kinds of time proofreading their resumes and cover letters. They will even have family or friends check them.
And then the error-free resume and cover letter get emailed to a employer. Oops. Too late. You have a typo in your email subject line.
You are not alone. Email subject lines are one of the frequent trouble spots for errors when applying to jobs. We're so busy adding attachments that we forget to proofread the first message that an employer will see..... the email subject line. Talk about making a bad first impression!
Always take an extra minute to make sure you get it right in your email subject line. Small things do matter in your job hunt.
